A free Meta ads tracker, and exactly what free means

Every feature, no card, no trial countdown — and the two limits that do exist, written down instead of buried.

Most Meta ads trackers start at $79 a month and go past $230. neo is free — not a 14-day trial, not a crippled tier that stops at 1,000 clicks. Every feature, no card. That raises a fair question, and the honest answer is worth more to you than a landing page: what's the catch, and where are the limits?

What you get

  • First-party click tracking. You point a subdomain of your own domain at neo, so the tracking cookie is set on your domain rather than a third party's. Safari's ITP still caps that cookie's life, which is why email matching exists as the second layer.
  • Attribution you can take apart. Cookie match first, hashed-email match second, and a strict time-window guess third. The three never blend into one number — a probable match shows as 96 (+9), never as 105.
  • Server-side CAPI.Every counted order fires back to Meta with the identifiers we actually have, deduped by order id so it doesn't double-count against your browser pixel.
  • Campaign, adset and ad drilldownfrom Meta's own ID macros, so renaming an adset doesn't orphan its history.
  • aROAS. Revenue after payment-processor fees, which is the number that reaches your bank rather than the one Meta reports.
  • A Chrome extensionthat writes counted sales into Ads Manager's own table, and an MCP server so you can ask Claude or any other AI assistant about your numbers directly.

The limits, stated

There are two, and they are the only ones:

  • 25,000 tracked events per calendar monthas a fair-use line. You see a meter in the app from day one, and warnings at 80% and 100% with a projection of when you'll cross. During early access we keep tracking past it rather than cutting you off mid-month.
  • 50,000 events per dayas a hard safety cap. Past that, events stop being stored. This exists so a looping script or a sudden flood can't run up an infrastructure bill that a free product can't absorb. If you hit it you get a notification and a banner in the app telling you exactly how many events weren't stored — because a dashboard quietly reading low is worse than any number we could show you.
If you're legitimately above either line, the fix is an email, not an upgrade page. Write to hello@neoroas.com and the cap gets raised.

What it deliberately doesn't do

neo tracks Meta ads and email. Nothing else.No Google, TikTok, or Pinterest. It also doesn't ingest ad spend — spend lives in Meta, and pulling it needs an API integration that isn't built yet. So in-app you get clicks, sales, conversion rate, revenue and revenue per click; the ROAS division you do in Ads Manager, or in the Chrome extension where both numbers sit side by side.

There is no browser fingerprinting and no cross-device identity stitching. Trackers that advertise recovering “the entire customer journey” despite iOS are usually describing a probabilistic fingerprint. That does recover volume — it also means the number in your dashboard contains guesses you can't separate out. neo would rather show you a smaller number and tell you what it doesn't know.

So why is it free?

Because it's early and the marginal cost of one more advertiser is around 30 cents a month at the fair-use line. A paid plan will exist eventually, and when it does the free tier stays useful rather than turning into a trap — the caps and their wording were written with that in mind, which is why nothing here promises “unlimited forever”.

What we get in return is the thing money can't buy at this stage: real accounts, with real discrepancies, telling us where the attribution logic is wrong.

Who should not use it

If you run multi-channel paid media and need one dashboard across Google, TikTok and Meta, this is the wrong tool — it covers one channel on purpose. If your team needs seats, roles and shared logins, that doesn't exist yet either. And if you need someone contractually on the hook with an SLA, a free product run by one person is not that.

If you run Meta ads, sell through Shopify or ClickFunnels, and have ever squinted at a reported ROAS wondering how much of it is real — that's the case this was built for. Related reading: why Meta shows more conversions than Shopify.

Count your own numbers

neo is free — every feature, no card, no trial countdown. Setup is a tracking subdomain, one script tag and one webhook. Roughly five minutes if your store already sends order webhooks.
