A free ClickMagick alternative
Same first-party approach, aimed squarely at Meta instead of every traffic source at once.
ClickMagick and neo share a basic philosophy — first-party tracking, click-level detail, a report table you can actually read. The difference is aim: ClickMagick serves every traffic source an affiliate or media buyer might use. neo does Meta ads and email, and nothing else.
What's familiar
- ▸Your own tracking domain. CNAME t.yourdomain.com and the visitor cookie is first-party. Registration and SSL are automatic.
- ▸A flat report table with a totals row — clicks, sales, conversion rate, revenue, revenue per click — down to campaign, adset and ad.
- ▸Click-level detailwith the UTM and Meta ID macros preserved, so renaming an adset doesn't orphan its history.
- ▸Webhook-based conversion tracking: Shopify (HMAC verified), ClickFunnels, or a documented generic JSON endpoint.
What's different
- ▸One channel, deeper.Because it's only Meta, neo can do Meta-specific things properly: fbclid and fbc handling, the ID macros, server-side CAPI with order-id dedup, and a Chrome extension that writes counted sales into Ads Manager's own table.
- ▸Email as a first-class channel, not an afterthought. The snippet captures the email at opt-in — including on SPA checkouts that never fire a submit event — and matches it, hashed, against the order. For most funnels that layer does more work than the cookie, because Safari caps CNAME'd cookies at about seven days.
- ▸Certainty is a visible column. Cookie match, email match and time-window guess are separated, always. Probable renders as a dashed 96 (+9) and unattributed orders are declared, not distributed.
- ▸aROAS — revenue net of processor fees.
- ▸An MCP server, so an AI assistant can query your numbers directly.
- ▸Free, every feature. Fair use is 25,000 events a month with a visible meter; there's a hard 50,000/day safety cap. Both stated up front, both raisable by email.
Don't switch if
- ▸You buy traffic from more than Meta — solo ads, native, Google, YouTube. neo will only see part of your business.
- ▸You need link rotators, geo/device routing or bot filtering. None of that exists here.
- ▸You need spend and ROAS computed in one place. neo doesn't ingest spend; the comparison happens in Ads Manager.
- ▸You want the largest possible attributed number. Without fingerprinting, neo's matched count is smaller and more honest.
The honest summary
If you're a multi-source affiliate, a general-purpose click tracker is the right category and you should stay in it. If nearly all your spend is Meta and your real question is which ad produced this order and how sure are we, a specialised free tool that separates certainty from inference will tell you more than a broad one that doesn't.
